Most innovations fail for one reason: people. Understanding people is the most critical, yet often overlooked, element of successful innovation. Most companies focus instead on the process, and this is where they fall short.
Many books have been written on the topic of innovation, but few (if any) have addressed how to successfully engage people throughout the process.
Today we have a conversation with Dr. Evans Baiya and Ron Price, the authors of The Innovator’s Advantage. They talk about the six stages needed for innovation, the statistics and the why of innovation failure, and how they combined their backgrounds in engineering, innovation, talent development and leadership to identify the role of people in the process.
