A Fresh Perspective on Human Potential
(BOISE, Idaho – September 28, 2011) – Aloha Publishing, a Boise-based publishing company announced today the release of Treasure Inside: 23 Unexpected Principles That Activate Greatness by Ron Price. Mr. Price is the founder and CEO of Price Associates, a consulting firm that creates excellence within executive teams.
Ron originally wrote Treasure Inside for his six children. Based on feedback from business leaders, friends and others, Ron re-wrote the book so that others could benefit from the principles that are revealed in the book. While there are many books that address “potential”, Treasure Inside brings a unique perspective: that we all contain the ability to be great and we all have “activators” that trigger this greatness.
As a business advisor, executive and parent, Ron has studied human potential for more than 25 years and in 15 countries. Through his experience he discovered that everyone has been endowed with a unique set of traits and tendencies that are often described as “natural talent”. Ron also discovered that without the disciplined nurturing of this natural talent, no one realizes anything close to his or her potential.
Of the 23 principles that Ron discusses in the book, several stand out:
- Principle 6: Choices – Ron discusses that your future does not depend on those around you, the economy, chance or fate because we have all been given the power of choice. In this chapter, he writes of Bob Wieland who lost both legs in Viet Nam and went on to become the strength training coach for the Green Bay Packers.
- Principle 12: Pain – Ron shares the concept that suffering is a catalyst that motivates change and causes you to embrace a feeling of wellness and completeness. This includes physical pain as well as emotional, intellectual or spiritual pain.
- Principle 22: Gratitude – This principle is so important that it has its own holiday: Thanksgiving! Ron discusses how gratitude teaches us to be thankful in the midst of turmoil and how to make thankfulness a habit by spending time on “30-minute” lists.
Treasure Inside is available on the Price Associates online store, Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble (bn.com) and is also available at a discount for quantity purchases. Additional resources such as interactive tools and worksheets, community discussions, are available at www.TreasureInsideBook.com. Ron is also available to speak on the principles that he writes about in the book to executive teams, business groups and civic organizations.
