To the Price Associates related network, I want to make you all aware of a new blog that I am beginning. The subject of the blog is the intersection of introversion and leadership. As the title suggests, I am advocating for a revolution of sorts on the part of quiet leaders who tend more toward introversion than extroversion. The revolution is more internal than anything. Those of us who tend toward introversion often suffer from varying degrees of disempowerment that comes as a combined result of both internal and external invalidation. For those of you who are more introverted, you know exactly what I’m talking about. For those who aren’t, you’ll have to trust us that this is our reality.

The site is targeted first and foremost toward quiet leaders. I want to provide regular, thoughtful and meaningful content that will speak directly into the heart of us quiet leaders. My intent is to post no less than one article per week as we go forward. I also want to use the site to interact with you around these topics. I look forward to hearing from you in the form of comments to blog articles and other means of providing dialog on the site. I also intend to open up the site to guest blogs and to conduct interviews with other introverted leaders to help them tell their stories.

On a related note, this site will be quite useful to extroverted leaders who are focused on trying to better understand the leaders and team members around them who have this opposite tendency. We hope to see many of you there as well, keeping the balance in the discussion.

With no further adieu, here is the link to my new website and blog (www.introvertrevolution.com). This article explains in more detail Why I’m Writing This Blog. Please refer quiet leaders in your network to the site.

Happy reading. I look forward to interacting with many of you on the new site.

For both introverted (S-C) and extroverted (D-I) types and everyone in between, I’m doing an upcoming series of webinars focused on related topics as follows:

Introversion: Busting 5 Myths, Learning 5 Truths – March 20, 9 AM MST

This is a basic introduction to the concept of introversion that seeks to clarify the numerous misconceptions about it that are so prevalent in the cultural stereotype. We’ll take a look together at both what introversion is not as well as what it is. This discussion will be informative for everyone who attends (introverts and extroverts alike).

Introvert Advantage: Leadership Competencies That Best Align – April 3, 9 AM MST

Building on the previous discussion about the true nature of introversion, how can we connect the concept of leadership to this reality. What are the introverted traits that closely correspond to most paradigms of leadership? Together, we’ll investigate this interesting intersection using the 25 leadership competencies from the The Complete Leader as our reference point.

Detox: Introverted Leaders in an Extroverted World – April 17, 9 AM MST

This webinar looks at the reality of both internal and external invalidation that occurs in the life of a leader that operates from the opposite end of the cultural expectations around leadership. How can we begin to recover from the effects inside and around us that take energy away from leading according to our authentic selves?

I hope to see many of you at these webinars focused on this critical area of understanding for all of us.
